2024 - The Great Canadian Pioneer Challenge

The year is 1897 and Canada has only been a country for 30 years. Your family has seen the advertisements regarding how wonderful this new world is and make the journey to the new land. Canada is such a vast country and knowing where the settle is a big challenge. Fortunately, you receive a letter from your Aunt Emma that has found the most fertile land to start a new life but you have to hurry before it's all bought up.  To keep the location a secret Aunt Emma has created 8 escape room style puzzles that each provide a clue to where to purchase your land. She has hidden them inside the corn maze. Once all the puzzles are found, completed and you escape the corn maze you then use the clues to complete the final challenge that will reveal the location. There is a token prize for the group (while supplies last). 

The main corn maze is known to be challenging taking approximately 45 minutes to find your way out and longer if you find all 8 stations.  There are emergency exits throughout the maze in case you get truly lost. The Canadian Pioneer Challenge is aimed at families, teens, and adults as the puzzles range from simple to rather challenging. This year we also have a mini maze for younger kids that will have different stations that will give facts about Canada around that time.

How big is the corn maze?
A bit larger than 23 hockey rinks.

How long does it take to make the maze?
We start planning in January on the idea and finalize the design by February, we pause for Maple syrup season, April the field is prepared, May we plant, June we do the initial measuring, marking and cutting of the maze, July we do a second cut, August we clean the paths, September we setup the clue stations and invite our guests. Whew, it's a long season. 

Is the Corn maze flammable?
Yes, the later into the fall the dryer the corn gets for harvesting. (No smoking please)
